Zeta Barely Moving In Caribbean, Still Expected To Enter Gulf Tuesday

Zeta continued to meander in the Caribbean Sunday night, though the storm is expected to begin moving towards the Yucatan peninsula Monday, and then enter the Gulf Tuesday as a hurricane, while moving towards the northern Gulf Coast for a Wednesday landfall.

'Zeta is forecast to be at or near hurricane strength when it approaches the northern Gulf Coast on Wednesday, and there is an increasing risk of storm surge, rainfall, and wind impacts from Louisiana to the Florida Panhandle," said the National Hurricane Center. "Residents in these areas should monitor the progress of Zeta and updates to the forecast."
