The National Weather Service says parts of southeast Louisiana will see periods of heavy rain later this week.

The NWS confirmed yesterday that Tropical Storm Beta made landfall on Monday night near Port O'Connor, Texas, and is now slowly moving towards Louisiana as a tropical depression.

The storm is expected to weaken but could still impact southeast and mid-Louisiana, especially south of I-10, around Thursday morning.

The entire Louisiana coastline is currently under a coastal flood warning through Wednesday.
