Over $50,000 Raised To Cover Cost Of Renaming Lee High School

Officials say they have raised over $50,000 in private donations towards the cost of renaming Lee High School to Liberty High School.

Superintendent Leslie Brown broke down the costs associated with renaming the school yesterday, with the total coming to around $170,000.

Brown said the money is being used for new athletic uniforms and equipment, signage around the school, and other re-branding items.

School Board President Mike Gaudet says if donations can't cover the rest of the cost, the money will need to be taken from other parts of the current school budget.
