Suspect Wanted After Gun Went Off At Cortana Wal-Mart Captured In Indiana

A man wanted for allegedly shoplifting at a Baton Rouge Walmart and then struggling with a Sheriff's Deputy has been arrested in Indiana.

According to reports, 31-year-old Gabriel Francis was apprehended in Indianapolis by U.S. Marshals and the Louisiana State Police.

Francis was involved in a confrontation with an East Baton Rouge Sheriff Deputy investigating a theft complaint earlier this week and caused the deputy's gun to fire while attempting to grab it.

Francis is now facing multiple charges, including attempted murder of a police officer.
