A free drive-thru coronavirus testing site is opening today.
East Baton Rouge Mayor-President Sharon Weston and Senator Regina Barrow announced that a drive-thru COVID-19 testing site will open today in the Walmart parking lot near Cortana Mall.
According to reports, the site will test healthcare providers, first responders, and those with symptoms of the virus.
A doctor's order is not required to be tested at this site, however, patients will need to make an appointment.
The site be open from Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., weather permitting.
