The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office says they are investigating an incident where a deputy was struck by a suspect driving an off-road buggy.
Officials say the altercation happened in the Dutchtown Meadows neighborhood over the weekend when the deputy tried to flag down the driver of the buggy but was struck instead.
Police say the deputy is going to be ok and the driver of the vehicle appeared to be fleeing from a domestic disturbance at a home on Tilburg Pass.
