The 19th Judicial District Court and East Baton Rouge Clerk of Court's office is closing down until April 13th.
The court announced yesterday it was recessed for a month to combat exposure to the COVID-19 coronavirus.
Family Court is not affected by the shutdown, and emergency filings can still be made with the clerk's office from 8 a.m. until noon Monday through Friday.
Anyone summoned for jury duty during the shutdown period is asked not to report and to wait for further information from the clerk.
