Five Texans Arrested For Attempted Chase ATM Thefts In Baton Rouge

JP Morgan Chase Post Quarterly Profit of 3.6 Billion

Five men from Texas are in police custody after allegedly trying to steal ATMs from multiple Chase Bank locations in Baton Rouge.

Officials say they responded to a call about an attempted ATM robbery at a Chase Bank in the 3500 of S. Sherwood Forest Boulevard around 2:30 a.m. Monday.

Investigators believe multiple people in a stolen red Ford F-250 pickup truck were responsible for the attempted theft and were able to connect them to another attempted ATM theft on Highland Road with a white pickup of the same model.

According to reports, officers were able to locate stolen white truck and apprehended the suspects after they attempted to flee.

Kobe Stephens, Travonteay Stephens, Dartamian Landry, Davon Crumity, and Kylan McCoy were all slapped with a slew of charges that include theft and simple criminal damage to property.

Police also believe the five men are connected to similar incidents in neighboring parishes.
