The Baton Rouge Police Department is gearing up to host a concealed handgun permit class next week.
According to officials, the class is open to anyone over the age of 21 and will be taught by BRPD firearms instructors. Participants must bring their own handgun and ammo.
People are encouraged to register early at BRPD Headquarters, Traffic Records as class size is limited.
The class is scheduled for January 11th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Joint Law Enforcement Training Center in Zachary.
