BR Aids Society HIV/AIDS Testing Site To Close After Generator Stolen

Blood and urine samples with medical results

A stolen generator is forcing a Baton Rouge nonprofit organization to halt providing free HIV/AIDS testing.

According to officials, the generator was reportedly taken from the mobile unit, which was parked at 4560 North Boulevard.

CEO and founder of the Baton Rouge AIDS Society Reverend A.J. Johnson compared the robbery to stealing from a church, as the organization has been helping the community conduct exams for a decade.

Police are asking anyone who has information on the robbery to contact Crime Stoppers.
