Former LSU Student Sentenced In Fraternity Hazing Death of Max Gruver

A former LSU student is heading to prison after being sentenced in the hazing death of fraternity pledge Max Gruver in 2017.

Matthew Naquin was sentenced yesterday to five years in jail following his July conviction on a charge of negligent homicide.

Half of Naquin's sentence was suspended meaning he will only have to spend two-and-a-half-years behind bars and then serve three-years' probation when released.

Naquin was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and complete 1,000 hours of community service.
