The Southern Poverty Law Center is filing a lawsuit against the Louisiana Department of Health for allegedly failing to provide children on Medicaid with proper mental health services.
According to the lawsuit filed last week, the kids in Louisiana aren't offered many options when faced with a mental health crisis, leaving law enforcement as their only option.
The LDH has yet to comment on the lawsuit brought against them as the case is still processing.
