A Baton Rouge teenager accused of fatally shooting his father is pleading not guilty.

Anthony Templet was arrested on a manslaughter count after the shooting death of Burt Templet but was indicted earlier this month on the more serious murder charge.

Templet is confessed to retrieving two handguns from his father's bedroom but only fired multiple shots during an argument claiming his father was the aggressor.

The 17-year-old is currently being held at a juvenile facility in Lake Providence, but will be transferred to East Baton Rouge Parish Prison when he turns 18 on September 13th.

Templet's next court date is November 5th.
