A 28-year-old Baton Rouge man is in custody for a home invasion and attempted murder that occurred in the capital city on Friday, April 12th.

Police say Thomas Conley was arrested Saturday in connection with the break-in at a Lydia Street residence near the LSU campus. That's where he allegedly attacked and injured a 65-year-old man with a metal pole until being chased off by someone armed with a gun.

Officers arrested Conley after responding to a disturbance call Friday night at the Holiday Inn near College Drive.
