Baton Rouge Man Sentenced In Federal Child Porn Case

Gavel and scales of justice

A Baton Rouge man is headed to prison for possessing child pornography.

U.S. Attorney Brandon Fremin says 52-year-old Steve Everhardt has been sentenced to serve 97 months in a federal lockup following his plea this past December to one count of possession of child porn. Investigators allegedly found more than 50,000 child porn images stored on computers in his home.

Everhardt will serve five years of supervised release once he's out of prison, and will have to register as a sex offender.
