A south Louisiana man who allegedly torched his FEMA trailer following his eviction is facing several criminal charges.

Deputies arrested 33-year-old Eddie Smith and booked him into the Livingston Parish Jail on Saturday.

The State Fire Marshal's Office ruled the February 3rd blaze in Springfield had been set after learning Smith had allegedly dumped trash around the home, witnesses later hearing an explosion and seeing smoke as Smith drove off.

Charges against Smith include simple arson, criminal trespass and littering.
