A court appointed commission says 18-year-old Cameron Sterling is incompetent to stand trial on a child rape charge.
He's the eldest son of Alton Sterling, the man killed by Baton Rouge police during a 2016 struggle outside a convenience store.
The competency ruling yesterday could change in the future for the younger Sterling. He was transported to a forensic hospital in Jackson with his next hearing set for mid-August.
