The serious health problems for former Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco are prompting her to once again ask for prayers.
She attended the annual meeting of the Council for a Better Louisiana in Lafayette yesterday where she was presented the group's Robert B. Hamm Award for Distinguished Service.
Blanco told those present that her cancer had metastasized and spread throughout her body with no cure possible.
She was first diagnosed with ocular cancer in 2011.
