DNA evidence is said to link a man already on death row in Texas to the 1999 cold-case shooting death of an LSU student.

19-year-old Kassie Federer was murdered after returning to her apartment from class.  WAFB-TV reports that DNA evidence obtained from a glove left at the scene of the killing matched that of 49-year-old Travis Green, a warrant subsequently issued charging him with first-degree murder.

He was convicted in the unrelated murder of another 19-year-old woman that occurred in Houston less than two weeks after Federer was killed.
