Louisiana State University is planning a ribbon cutting for tomorrow to celebrate the newly-opened Nicholson Gateway Development.
The development, built between West Chimes Street and Skip Bertman Drive, will have more than 750 apartment units to house more than 1,500, along with lots of retail space.
Nicholson Gateway was built in response to demands for more on-campus housing, as research shows students who live on campus have better grades.
The ceremony is planned for 2:00 p.m.
