The driver of an 18-wheeler is facing multiple charges, including first-offense DWI, after state police say he crashed his truck while driving impaired on I-10 West in Prairieville.

The accident happened Saturday morning resulting in most of the big rig being burned to the ground. Troopers say 55-year-old Freddie Jackson Jr. of Harvey suffered only minor injuries.

The truck went up in flames after Jackson's truck hit some concrete construction barriers and a guardrail, rupturing the fuel tank.
