Last Of St. Mary Parish Escapees Captured

Three deputies are out of a job following the weekend escape of four inmates from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

By early last night, all four of the escapees were back in custody and four other people were facing charges of assisting with their escape.

Sheriff Scott Anslum says he terminated the deputies after an internal investigation determined they failed to follow proper security protocols.
