A state budget bill is making its way to the governor's desk, but don't expect John Bel Edwards to sign it, or at least not right away.
The spending plan, haunted with program cuts due to a looming massive falloff in funding come July 1st, cleared its final legislative hurdle Thursday.
The regular legislative session is expected to be gaveled to a close today, but lawmakers return Tuesday for a special two-week session focused on tackling Louisiana's budget woes.
