Louisiana Students Could Be Wearing Bulletproof Backpacks

Louisiana students could soon be allowed to legally wear bulletproof backpacks to school.  State law currently bars a student from wearing any body armor on campus.

The proposal received traction after the Valentine's Day massacre at a Florida high school this year that left 17 people dead at the hands of a lone gunman.

The Senate needs to approve a technical change before the bill lands on the governor's desk.
