The granddaughter of an 82-year-old woman found dead in her wheelchair four years ago is expected to spend five years in prison.
21-year-old Lauren Looney of Baton Rouge pleaded guilty Wednesday to a charge of negligent homicide in the 2014 death of Bessie Looney. The elderly woman was discovered naked, sitting in her own waste and covered with bed sores.
The victim's daughter, Joleslie Looney, was convicted of manslaughter last month.
