A Baton Rouge area restaurant owner is accused of setting fire to his own business to collect the insurance money.
Jonathan Marino was arrested yesterday on charges of allegedly intentionally setting fire to The Cast Iron Kitchen in March 2017. The restaurant was located in the 5400 block of Jones Creek Road and caused extensive damage to the building and nearby structures.
Investigators say Marino tried on three separate occasions to set fire to another restaurant he owned in Prairieville in an attempt to collect insurance money.
