Investigators in Ascension Parish are looking into a social media threat that mentions the Dutchtown area.
WBRZ News 2 reported Monday morning:
According to a release, the threat posted on social media was made by a former Dutchtown High School student.
The name of the student was not immediately given, but the release did say the student lives in another state.
The sheriff's office stepped up law enforcement following the deadly shooting at a South Florida high school, and that increased presence will continue this week.
