Officials with the Diocese of Baton Rouge say they haven't been able to substantiate a sexual abuse allegation made against a parish priest in Gonzales.
The now 31-year-old woman filed a complaint late last year, alleging that Father Eric Gyan had forced her to perform sex acts in a confessional several times in 1996.
In a news release issued over the weekend, the diocese says Gyan continues to serve as a priest in good standing following an extensive investigation.
