LSU is closed today. University officials sent out the notification last night.
The canceling of classes is being blamed on problems with water pressure. The concerns previously mentioned by the university were over fire safety as well as health and sanitation.
A spokesman with the Baton Rouge Water Company denied its system was experiencing any water-pressure problems.
