A Baton Rouge man is facing numerous charges after police say he tried to run over a woman and her two children twice early yesterday morning.
Investigators say the woman had denied sex to 61-year-old Benjamin Blount Sr. who then held her down by the throat in the kitchen of an apartment. The victim and her two children managed to get out, but police say Blount later tried twice to run them over in a restaurant parking lot.
He's facing multiple counts of attempted first-degree murder and second-degree kidnapping.
