An effort is underway by the family of police shooting victim Alton Sterling to have video leading up to the killing released to their attorneys.
Sterling, a black man, was shot to death during a confrontation with two white officers outside a Baton Rouge convenience store in July of last year.
The request for the footage was made to Attorney General Jeff Landry whose office has not responded.
