The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office says an unlicensed home daycare in Prairieville where a three-month-old was found unresponsive and died earlier this week is now closed, at least temporarily.
It could reopen as early as Friday, depending on the outcome of a hoped-for meeting with the daycare operator and the state.
The child had been suffering from a cold when put down for a nap on Monday.
