Former Marksville deputy marshal Norris Greenhouse Jr. is headed to prison for a while after pleading guilty to negligent homicide and malfeasance in office.

He was sentenced yesterday to a total of seven-and-a-half-years for a shooting nearly two years ago that left a six-year-old boy dead and his father critically injured.

He and a colleague, Derrick Stafford, opened fire on the two inside a car they were in following a chase. Stafford was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
