Baton Rouge police have honored a number of officers.
Three killed in last July's police ambush attack received special recognition at last night's annual awards ceremony. Officers Matthew Gerald and Montrell Jackson, and East Baton Rouge Parish Deputy Brad Garafola were each honored with a medal of valor.
The police department recognized about 80 people at the event.
