Teen Cancer Patient Passes Away After Receiving Diploma

With his dying wish having been granted, the father of a teenage cancer patient says he's at peace following his son's death.

17-year-old Jerome Singleton was set to graduate from Baton Rouge's Scottlandville High School, but his family found out he wasn't going to make it.

In a special ceremony last week, Singleton was presented with his diploma while in hospice care at his home.

WBRZ News 2 reports Jerome passed away Sunday afternoon while holding his sister's hand.
