A new chapter is about to be written in the life of one of LSU's most iconic buildings.
The school recently launched a fundraiser to pay for renovations to the Middleton Library. The building is almost 60 years old and school officials say more than $8 million is needed to bring it into the 21st century.
Fundraising is expected to take a year, and the renovation project should be finished by 2020.
