Retired State Police Superintendent To Make Huge Salary In Retirement

State Police Colonel Mike Edmonson is leaving his job on great financial footing.  Figures released from the Louisiana State Police Retirement System show he will take home almost 130-thousand dollars a year for the rest of his life.  Edmonson gave up command of the state police last Friday under a cloud of controversy involving troopers taking a taxpayer-funded trip.  Edmonson is the longest serving Superintendent of the Louisiana State Police, and he will also get paid for up to 300 hours of unused sick leave.
