A Walker police official is no longer with the force after a noose was found in the squad room.
Chief David Addison says there is surveillance video from the station last week which shows the sergeant hanging the noose. The officer later admitted he had done so.
He was suspended for three days and was to attend a status hearing Wednesday but resigned his post instead.
Chief Addison says the investigation still is open and is being handled by the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office.
