Edwards Asks White House For Faster Review Of Coastal Restoration Projects

Governor John Bel Edwards is asking the Trump administration to do a faster review of five coastal restoration projects which involves federal environmental and permitting approval.

The state has already been promised millions of dollars from the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill, toward the cost of each project, though none of the projects has complete funding.

Governor Edwards says additional federal financial support in coastal Louisiana would be an investment that would help the nation's economy, energy production, transportation and refining.
