It's a reminder that the final days of the hurricane season can still produce something to talk about.

After days of lingering off the coast of Central America, Tropical Storm Otto formed Monday.

The storm is expected to strengthen to hurricane status before making landfall near the eastern border of Nicaragua and Costa Rica. It will not threaten the United States.

The 2016 Atlantic hurricane season ends on Nov. 30.
