An audit that reviewed security measures in Louisiana schools indicates there's work to be done.

The Louisiana Legislative Auditor's Office released the findings of the audit on Monday.

The audit found that there are hundreds of schools that fall short of a 2001 law requiring all state public schools to develop crisis and response plans.

Schools must also submit their security plans to the local governing authorities and keep their staff updated about changes to the plans.
