One adult and two teens are in custody and accused of the shooting death of an escapee from the Baton Rouge juvenile lockup.

Baton Rouge police arrested 19-year-old Travelle Burris and the two teens on Monday.

All three are charged with the murder of 18-year-old David Atkins, as well as armed robbery and illegal use of a weapon.

Atkins was a 17-year-old murder suspect when he escaped from East Baton Rouge Juvenile Detention last November.

He was shot and killed on Saturday at a home on Washington Avenue.
