A Starbucks in Baton Rouge is the third one in the state to unionize.
The location on South Sherwood Forest Boulevard chose unionization by a vote of 10-4.
The store is one of 380 Starbucks in 42 states that have joined Starbucks Workers United.
The union claims Starbucks has been found guilty of more than 300 violations of federal labor laws, dozens of illegal firings, refusing to bargain, and illegally paying higher wages to non-union workers.
