There will be no garbage or recycling pickup in Baton Rouge on Thanksgiving Day.
Garbage not collected on Thursday will be picked up on the next scheduled collection day.
Garbage and recycling services will run on Friday as usual.
City-Parish officials say the North Landfill will be closed on Thursday and will reopen on Friday.
The Republic Services recycling center on Tom Drive will remain open through the holiday.
