Louisiana shrimpers are demanding a cap on foreign shrimp imports, which they claim are killing their livelihood.

Acy Cooper, president of the Louisiana Shrimp Association, says the imported shrimp are flooding the market and driving prices down for local fishermen.

At the start of last season, the biggest shrimp were selling for $4 a pound. The same size shrimp now fetch only 80 cents a pound.
