Police are investigating a bomb threat that led to the cancellation of classes at all Livingston Parish schools on Monday.

Somebody sent an email early Monday morning, claiming that bombs had been placed in schools. Officials said they didn't believe the threats were credible, but they canceled class to be on the safe side.

Police conducted sweeps of every public school campus in the parish without finding a threat.

School officials say classes should resume today, but they'll notify parents if anything else comes up.
