One employee of the City of Baker is in custody and another is in the hospital after an argument between the two led to a shooting on Monday.

The two men were arguing on Groom Road near Main Street when one of them pulled a gun and shot the other.

Police detained the suspected shooter for questioning.

A city spokeswoman says the two workers weren't on the job, and the shooting didn't happen on city property.

It's not clear what the men were arguing about.
