Baton Rouge, St. George Fire Departments Head To North Louisiana To Help

State officials are sending help to thousands of residents of north Louisiana who are still without power after recent severe weather.

The Louisiana State Fire Marshal's Office sent an incident management crew from the fire departments of Baton Rouge and St. George.

The Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness has sent water, propane, and damage assessment teams to the Shreveport area.

Gov. John Bel Edwards has declared a state of emergency in the affected parishes.
