Funeral Held For Fallen Denham Springs PD Cpl. Shawn Kelly

A Denham Springs police officer killed in the line of duty was laid to rest today.

The funeral for Cpl. Shawn Kelly was held this morning at the main campus of Healing Place Church.

Kelly died last Friday more than three weeks after he was shot at a shopping center.

Former Denham Springs police chief Rodney Walker remembered Kelly as a "great public servant" and one of the finest men he's ever known.
