A Starks man is accused of shooting a 14-year-old girl in the back of the head.
Calcasieu Parish deputies responded early Sunday morning to a shooting on Jimmy Doyle Road.
An investigation found that the wounded girl was one of several kids who were playing hide and seek on the property of 58-year-old David Doyle.
Detectives say Doyle was alarmed that people were outside his home in the dark, so he got his gun and started shooting.
The girl is reportedly recovering at a local hospital.
Doyle is charged with aggravated battery and other charges.
